ARRIVAL IN HANOI, VIETNAM

On arrival in Hanoi you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for three nights.

HANOI

Today's included sightseeing tour includes the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Saigon's Stilt House, Hoan Kiem Lake, the History Museum and the Old Quarter. (B,L,D)

HANOI

Today's excursion begins with a drive to Chua Thay Pagoda. Next, head to Tay Phuong Pagoda, one of Vietnam's first pagodas. Later, return to Hanoi for a water puppet performance. (B,L)

HANOI-HALONG

Drive to Halong for an overnight stay on board your Halong cruise boat. Enjoy lunch as your boat winds between dramatic limestone islands. You will have the chance to explore the Sung Sot grotto, before visiting Luon Cave by rowing boat. Back on board, a cooking demonstration reveals the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine. (B,L,D)

HALONG-HANOI-DANANG-HOI AN

Disembark your cruise boat in the late morning and journey back to Hanoi to board your flight to Danang. Pass tranquil rural scenery and traditional villages en route to the charming town of Hoi An. (B,L,D)

HOI AN

Today, explore the town on a walking tour of the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Sa Huynh Museum, and a family chapel. In the afternoon, board a local boat for a cruise down the Thu Bon River, passing unspoiled countryside on the way to a pottery village and a wood carving village.(B,L,D)

HOI AN

Today is free to further explore Hoi An. You may wish to take a cooking class or take a day trip by local ferry to the beautiful Cham Island, with its white and pristine beaches and turquoise water. (B)

HOI AN-DANANG-HUE

Today journey back to Danang, stopping at the Marble Mountains, Non Nuoc Beach (China Beach) and the Cham Museum. Afterwards, journey through the spectacular Hai Van Pass, to the imperial walled city of Hue. You sightseeing tour takes in the Forbidden Purple City, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, the Halls of the Mandarins and the Nine Dynastic Urns. (B,L,D)

HUE-SAIGON

Begin today with a boat trip on the Perfume River to the pretty Thien Mu Pagoda. Preserved within the Pagoda's sanctuary is the Austin motorcar used to transport monk Thich Quang Duc to the site of his 1963 self-immolation. Continue up the river to the Imperial Tomb of Minh Mang, before heading to the airport for your flight to Saigon. (B,L)

SAIGON

Today's included sightseeing tour takes in Dong Khoi Street, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Afterwards visit the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Jade Emperor Pagoda, as well as Cholon, the Chinese district. (B,L)

SAIGON & CU CHI TUNNELS

Today, visit Cu Chi, an important base during the Vietnamese War due to its strategic location. Learn about the 200km tunnel network constructed by the Viet Cong to connect command posts, hospitals, shelters and weapon factories. Later, visit Caodai Great Temple in Tay Ninh. (B)
